Legulie [legu’li]
Hello, my name is Valeria Gulieva. Legulie is my art and design project, in which I am trying to record my creative search and experiments with various media: watercolour, oil/ acrylic paint, graphics, linocut printing and digital drawing.
This website is thought primarily as a portfolio page. I also jot down some notes on my blog page here. I usually write about some tips and tricks for materials I’m working with, as well as my experiments, findings and sources of inspiration.
Inspiration
I am most inspired by modern fashion, popular culture, cinematography, and city life. Asia is the most mesmerizing part of the world for me, and I love the minimalism of oriental aesthetics. I often interpret these themes in my work.
Last but not least, you will see many cat figures sneaking into my works – I really like those gracious and independent creatures ^.^
Products
Most of my original works are available as Giclée prints in a4 and a3 formats. Some of them can be bought on Etsy.
The original watercolours, oils and acrylics are also available for sale. For details, please contact me directly.
I have also made a series of patterns for square scarves and got them printed on 100% silk twill and silk chiffon. The patterns are available on my portfolio page and some of the scarves are currently on Etsy.
I have experience in doing commissioned work for music bands (logo, album and single covers), fashion companies (exhibition materials), events (posters), private persons (artwork). If you have an idea that needs visualization, please contact me through the form below.
